Other Services Available

Full contraceptive service (Excluding Coils and Implants) – see Practice nurse or GP.

Maternity services – Care is shared between GP and midwives at Dunoon General Hospital.

Diabetes Clinic - This clinic provides diabetic review for all diabetic patients.

Asthma Clinic - All patients suffering from asthma are advised to attend this nurse led clinic

Minor Surgery – We offer a minor surgery service.

New Patient Registration – All new patients will be given an appointment with the practice nurse for a brief examination including a urine check. Information will be requested on previous health and immunisations. Advice will be offered on diet, exercise and smoking cessation. In addition patients on regular medication will be given an appointment to discuss their care with a doctor.

Elderly Patients – Those over 75 years of age are invited to see the doctor or practice nurse annually for a general health and wellbeing check.

Non-NHS Services – Medical examinations for special purposes may be undertaken by appointment. Medical certificates for insurance, passports etc. can be provided. All non-NHS services carry a fee.

Podiatry- Patients can self refer to the podiatry department, located at Cowal Community Hospital, by completing a form and handing it in to the hospital.  The forms can be collected from either the hospital or from Church Street Surgery.

Physiotherapy- Patients can self refer to Physiotherapy.  This service is run by the Musculoskeletal Assessment & Triage Service (MATS).  To make a self referral please contact: 0800 917 9390.
